    One of the best Caribbean restaurants in Jax! Jerk chicken is grilled which is a must... I have minor gripes but if you aren't Caribbean, you wouldn't be able to point them out. Otherwise, 5 stars all the way!

    Terrible. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Traveled to Jacksonville for work and wanted to try this place. I ordered the curry goat with 1 piece of curry chicken. My coworker ordered oxtail and beef patty. There was no flavor in my meal. It cost me $18 and I was so disappointed. I had the chance to try Spices and it was 10x better. If you want flavorful food, don't go here.

    Excellent service, amazing Sorrel...this place has THE BEST Caribbean food I've tasted since moving Jacksonville!!!

    For the price the amount of food is nice. Can definitely split your plate. But again... no seasoning. Cabbage is overcooked and no seasoning. I'm jamaican . I know what I like if I eat somewhere else besides my home. I haven't had island tropics in years. And I went to sunrise Caribbean up the street last week and loved my food. Tried island tropics today and wish I could get a refund. I literally live close by and just came home with my food and I'm not pleased. I'll stick to sunrise Caribbean or so famous jamaican and seafood on 103rd...

    I ordered the oxtail and rice and peas with Mac and cheese. But they gave me flavorless cabbage instead of the Mac and cheese I ordered, the oxtail had no flavor and I ordered a beef patty the beef patty was good
